Minnkota powering up a new HQ in Grand Forks
GRAND FORKS, N. D. — Energy company Minnkota Power Cooperative is building a new headquarters in Grand Forks. The company plans to invest over $60 million in the planned, 220,000-square-foot facility.
Minnkota’s headquarters will be home to the firm’s corporate center, an operations center, a warehouse, an equipment garage and maintenance facilities. Of Minnkota’s 400 employees, 220 are based in Grand Forks.
Once Minnkota breaks ground on its new headquarters, construction is expected to last two years. The company serves 11 power distributors across North Dakota and Minnesota, who provide power to over 125,000 retail customers.
