Gas industry training program now available in Minnesota
WADENA, Minn. — Thanks to a new program, training for those wishing to pursue a career in the gas industry is now available at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Wadena. The 32-credit, Gas Utility Construction and Service diploma program, which is being developed in cooperation with gas construction company MP Technologies and several other industry representatives, will begin at M State this summer.
An MP Technologies official noted there is currently a huge shortage of workers in the gas industry, as the field requires a unique set of skills, and that the M State program will be the first of its kind in Minnesota or North Dakota. For more information on the Gas Utility Construction and Service program, visit M State’s website or call (877) 450-3322.
