Fairway Energy Partners to construct storage facility, create jobs

HOUSTON — Fairway Energy Partners LLC, a midstream asset development company, announced the construction of  a new, massive crude storage facility in Houston.

Currently, the company employs about a dozen full time workers. Once construction is complete, the company will ramp up hiring, adding approximately 25 to 30 new jobs. The construction project itself, however, is estimated to create contract jobs in the hundreds.

The new storage facility will be named the Pierce Junction and will convert three underground salt caverns near the intersection of the 610 Loop and State Highway 288 into crude oil storage. Once complete, the storage facility will hold up to 20 million barrels of crude oil.
