Targa Resource Partners and Sanchez Energy Corp. build joint venture in La Salle County

LA SALLE COUNTY, Texas — A new cryogenic natural gas processing plant is to be built in La Salle County, Texas, the product of a joint venture between Houston’s Targa Resource Partners and Sanchez Energy Corp.

The new plant will have 45 miles of high-pressure gathering pipelines that will connect to Sanchez’s current midstream operations in La Salle County as well as boast capacity of 200 million cubic feet per day. Targa Resource Partners and Sanchez Energy Corp. expect the new plant to be fully operational by early 2017.

Targa Resource Partners will design, build and operate the plant, whereas the new plant will help Sanchez Energy contain skyrocketing gathering and transportation fees, allowing the company to grow its presence in the Eagle Ford Shale.
